In total, we saved 45 turtles nests, more than 1 923 turtles has been released including 3 different species : Leatherback, Carey and Green. Thanks our team of volunteers, we collected data associated with the nest and the turtle, like the measurements and weighing too.

We participated in the call to save sea turtle nests in Playa Grande de Manzanillo. It was our first support outside the Cahuita territory, with the help of our colleagues from SNIC and the Tourist Police. In our territory, we cleaned the Playa Grande de Cahuita with the help of a lot of volunteers and social groups (Club Active 20/30 Limón)!

During the arrival of COVID-19, we continued our activities to help the turtles but with sanitary measures. We also raised protection awareness on Word Turtle day and Biodiversity day by making a video with the children of the C.A.I El Jardin de Los Sueños. Our awareness-raising has led to educational projects with children.

Channel TN7 has put on the lights our efforts with a TV report about our work in the association!

To conclude Playa Grande received the Ecological Blue Flag 2019 !
