During this last year, thanks all our teams and volunteers, we rescue 33 nests and we released 1 062 new born of Carey and Green turtles ! On the same time we cleaned the sand for the eggs in the nursery.

In 2022, we helped babies turtles on the beach too. They couldn’t leave their nest because of coconut roots.

Like you know, we are also active in various key events for biodiversity. We participated to the 2nd International Sloth Festival and to the 2022 parade of Cahuita.

We have set up an Opera concert featuring a Swiss singer, to help the association.

Like the past year, we awarned one of Costa Rica’s 140 ecological Blue Flag beaches. Because the beach still polluted, we cleaned 9 beaches like Rio La Estrella and the Rio Tuba Creek for exemple. This was possible thanks to the community and NGO’s (Justice for Nature, Jaguar Rescue Center, Raising Coral CR, TKD Caribe, Escuela Complementaria Cahuita, Ministerio de Justicia y Paz, Cahuita Experience Surf School, Earth University, ATEC, Gap Force).

With Jaguar Rescue Center, we rescued data collection and tagging of two Green turtles! We measured the erosion and the presence of micro plastic in the sand. In the same way we continued in census and monitoring work.

Our other important point is the education ! We still believe that the education about turtles and biodiversity, is the key of our future. We started this year with a kayak work day with EARTH Univeristy students. We make a garbage collected and bollard painting with the students from the Cahuita complementary school too. With the same school me participated to a report between the association and the children.

To conclude, we made an environmental awareness and education with the release of 33 turtles with families and NGO.
