First of all, we would like to express our deepest thanks to the organizations HealthySeas and Stichting Herpetofauna for the donations made to our association, Turtle Rescue Cahuita.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to these donations, we have been able to complete the remodeling of the new hatchery used to protect the turtle eggs we collect during our beach monitoring. This represents a major achievement for our organization, as it will allow us to continue our research and sea turtle conservation project, as well as the environmental education activities we carry out within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our organization is committed to actively protecting sea turtles and raising awareness within the community about the importance of preserving our environment, so that future generations can enjoy the benefits of a healthy ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HealthySeas and Stichting Herpetofauna are organizations truly committed to biodiversity and environmental conservation, and they have provided us with tremendous support to help us continue achieving our goals. For that reason, we would like to express our gratitude once again for their generous donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In these times of confinement, the work has become even more challenging. We are unable to receive volunteers at our facilities due to current health restrictions, and we are a small group of local community members who continue walking the beach to protect as many nests as possible. Unfortunately, egg poachers still return to the beach every night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We appreciate in advance any support that can be provided to our association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En primer lugar nos gustar\u00eda agradecer enormemente a las organizaciones HealthySeas y StichtingHepertofauna por las donaciones aportadas a nuestra asociaci\u00f3n Turtle Rescue Cahuita. Gracias a estas donaciones, hemos logrado completar la remodelaci\u00f3n del nuevo vivero para la protecci\u00f3n de los huevos de tortugas que recolectamos durante nuestros censos en la playa.  Esto supone un gran logro para nuestra organizaci\u00f3n, ya que nos permitir\u00e1 seguir con nuestro proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n de tortugas marinas, adem\u00e1s de las actividades de  educaci\u00f3n ambiental que desarrollamos dentro de la comunidad. Nuestra organizaci\u00f3n se ha comprometido a proteger activamente las tortugas marinas y crear conciencia en la comunidad sobre la necesidad de conservar nuestro medio ambiente, para que las futuras generaciones puedan disfrutar los beneficios de un medio ambiente sano. HealthySeas y StichtingHepertofauna son organizaciones realmente comprometidas con la conservaci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad y el ambiente, y que nos han aportado una gran ayuda para que podamos seguir consiguiendo nuestros objetivos. Por eso agradecemos de nuevo sus donaciones. En estos tiempos de confinamiento, el trabajo se hace m\u00e1s duro, no podemos recibir voluntarios a nuestras instalaciones por las restricciones sanitarias actuales y somos un peque\u00f1o grupo de personas locales las que seguimos saliendo a caminar en la playa para proteger la mayor cantidad de nidos, ya que lamentablemente, los saqueadores de huevos, no dejan de acudir cada noche a la playa.
