About volunteering…
Environmental conservation project focused on marine turtle research and care originated since 2015. The project works together with the local community in the conservation and protection of sea turtles, conservation of the environment, economic development, training and education, patrols and monitoring of local beaches in order to protect turtle nests through relocation to safe nurseries. Illegal looting of eggs for human consumption, climate change and erosion are threats to natural nests
You will contribute…
Participation in the project has an educational component so that volunteers can learn more about the conservation and protection of sea turtles and the environment in which they live.
It is an ideal place for those volunteers who have an interest in the environment, who want to spend time in total disconnection and a lot of tranquility in the middle of a natural environment by the sea.

Hundreds of thousands of sea turtles, whales and other marine mammals, and more than 1 million seabirds die each year from ocean pollution and ingestion or entanglement in marine debris.
We are Cahuita, we protect the turtles.
